"Know thyself "

The practice of meditation is an experience of concentrating the body and mind on a spiritual or other symbol. It brings the mind to an inner peace, an emptiness of the mind. It can enable to reach modified states of consciousness or simply to the appeasing of the mind, which leads to a relaxation of the body and the mind.

In the Indian tradition, we often start with the practice of hatha yoga which is a work on the body and its mastery to continue with meditation, which is a more "mental" exercise. In both cases, breath control and breathing regulation (pranayama) are important, and both disciplines are intimately linked.

According to Mira-Baï, meditation is a timeless discipline, a very complete science since it takes into account the individual in its entirety, both physical and psychological. She considers that it allows practitioners a better understanding of the world around us, in connection with the comprehension of the individual as a whole.

Mira Baï Ghatradyal Mahesh, hatha-yoga teacher, trained since childhood with her father Shri Mahesh Ghatradyal, Indian, initiator of yoga in France. She has developed her practice with Masters in both India and Europe. She teaches classes and organizes workshops around hatha yoga, yoga nidra and meditation.

"Know thyself " ! A famous sentence taken up by Socrates and inscribed on the frontispiece of the Temple of Delphi: we have to worry about ourselves in order to find in ourselves the answers to the individual and collective challenges that arise.
